On June 21, 2023, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was held regarding the Corridor Potential Study and Policy Recommendations for the Development of the Sumatran Elephant Corridor in Aceh Province. This FGD was organized by the Konsorsium Redelong Berkelanjutan TFCA Sumatera yang terdiri dari Pusat Riset Konservasi Gajah dan Biodiversitas Hutan (PKGB), Pusat Riset Geospasial Universitas Syiah Kuala, Yayasan Redelong Institute, and Rumah Indonesia Berkelanjutan. On this occasion, I was the moderator who directed the smooth running of the event and discussion.
The results of this meeting can be disseminated widely through well-formulated news and opinions, and the resulting recommendations will be necessary for all parties to monitor the development of conservation efforts and provide information to stakeholders about efforts to save the Sumatran elephant population.
